Richard Armitage Photos + *IF* - A Small Word With a Large Meaning

*IF* Richard were to be cast as Stannis Baratheon in Game of Thrones, the following reflects some aspects of the character's environment...
He'd be strongly influenced by Melissandre, the Red Lady - a priestess of the Lord of Light..

Physical Description: She is beautiful, with a slender figure, full breasts, and a heart-shaped face. Her hair is burnished copper, her eyes are red, and her skin is pale. She always wears red.

Stannis is married to Selyse Florent, but the above priestess seems to have a much stronger influence over him than his wife.  He also has one child, a daughter.

He's the king's younger brother and as such lives at Dragonstone - the ancestral castle of House Targaryen - located in the Crownlands.
The crownlands consist of those lands that were directly ruled by House Targaryen.
Location: The Crownlands include King's Landing and its surroundings, the Kingswood, all land east of the Kingsroad bordering Blackwater Bay, Crackclaw Point, and Dragonstone and its surrounding islands.

Geography - TYPE: Province or State  - LOCATION: The Seven Kingdoms
Family Tree: House Baratheon
Direct Descendants:
Barra Lyonel Baratheon Shireen Baratheon
Edric Storm Mya Stone Stannis Baratheon
Gendry Myrcella Baratheon Steffon Baratheon
Gowen Baratheon Orys Baratheon Tommen Baratheon
Harbert Baratheon Renly Baratheon
Joffrey Baratheon Robert Baratheon

Sworn Houses:
Celtigar of Claw Isle - A house of the Crownlands.
Bar Emmon of Sharp Point - A house of the Crownlands.
Seaworth - A house of the Stormlands.
Velaryon of Driftmark - A house of the Crownlands.
Sunglass of Sweetport Sound - A house of the Crownlands.

Purpose of the post is to show some of the imaginative details given for only one of the 7 houses of Westeros in Geo RR Martin's series of novels 'A Song of Ice and Fire'.

Thank you Musa for the following heads up.  Geo Martin earlier tonight, while discussing the latest GoT's developments, added the following statement...
>King Robert's small council lacks only Lord Renly... and he'll be joining them soon. (Sorry, you will need to wait for season two for Stannis, off brooding on Dragonstone).<

It's evidence the writer has noticed the comments of those mentioning RA as  perfect for the Stannis Baratheon role.  Filming starts this month for Season 1, so hopefully a year from now we'll all be squeeing our heads off with excitement for Season 2:)   If not for this HBO production, then for many RA projects between now & then - perhaps a play or SB2, or a GoG spinoff, etc etc.
