Another GoT's role filled...
From the 'Winter is Coming' website:   The parade of casting news continues, this time super sleuth Oliver Powell has leaked that Jamie Sives has been tipped to play Jory Cassel in Game of Thrones. Sives, a Scottish actor, has a solid amount of TV credits to his name and recently has earned some roles in feature films such as Clash of the Titans and Get Him To The Greek. Jory looks to be his biggest role yet though.  Many thanks to Oliver for filling in as announcer of casting of minor roles while GRRM is away. This looks like a good choice for Jory. He has a trust-worthy look about him and he has a good bit of acting experience. Congrats to Jamie and welcome to the cast!

OMG
I leave my laptop for a while and go out and another actor is cast for GoT. Not Bronn, or Stannis, so there is still hope for Richard. They could be thinking about Richard for another character we haven't thought about.

Oh, yes Jamie Lannister...let's just say he becomes more interesting a character after the first book. Really...

Yes, sigh, no one like Lucas North in any way is among the real spies, but if Spooks (MI-5) uses the real story for Season 10, I hope blue eyed Lucas is still around, don't you?

Hello Musa, there's an actor on twitter...last name is Powell - who verified the Jamie information. He tried out for one of the roles but didn't make it. Now he says he's determined to make the 2nd series, and is being helpful to fans by contacting those actors who might've been cast. That's how the latest news was confirmed by Jamie himself.

Thought I read on one of the sites that someone was already chosen to play Stannis? No?

If a miracle happens and it's announced next wk that RA won a role, how long will we celebrate the good news? It'll be non-stop for a least a week - we'll shake blogger's rafters with squeals of delight, won't we;)

The Bronn role does sound as though it'd be a natural fit for Richard. Isn't there a future marriage for him into one of the wealthy houses?

I'll be surprised if the Spooks writers are not already working some of the exciting details of the recent swap into the upcoming series. Can't wait. Planning to buy it as one of DH's Christmas gifts. He enjoys Guy of Gisborne whether in the form of John Porter or Lucas North. See the latest post for his reaction tonight to eps 5&6 SB.

Glad your DH enjoys our Guy in various guises. I fear LN will not make it beyond S9 but we will wait and see (maybe we should consult the oracle octopus!)

I <3 Jamie Sives ever since I saw him in this quirky Scottish movie called Wilbur Wants To Kill Himself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=budpU0HBRWw

Keep us posted!!

Thx for the link judith.

This week is expected to be an exciting one for Game of Thrones readers. Geo Martin has said there'll be major casting announcements. Do we dare hope one might be our fav actor?
It would definitely be serendipity.

Dreams can come true - there are 3 more published Song of Ice & Fire books filled w/new characters, plus 1 almost finished and 2 yet to be written.
