I just started to listen to Richard's reading (performance really) of the Lords of the North audiobook and can't help but think of Guy as I'm listening to that marvelous voice of his as Uhtred.
I've listened to LOTN at least 5Xs..all 10 discs. The first time I'd waited until almost bedtime and fell asleep after about 5min of those soothing, chocolatey sounds emanating from that surround-stubble throat:)
There's surround sound and surround stubble...the sound of the latter sounds far better, doesn't it;)
If Geo Martin had heard RA's narration of LOTN he'd probably regret not having known sooner for GOT. Wouldn't that have been delicious?...imagine Richard's voice bringing to life all those fascinating characters...one after the other. hmmm, pity it didn't happen:(
Ah well, we do have his LOTN and the RH narrations. I've Sylvester but listened to the 1st half, put it down and never picked it up again.
Now, RA's Clarissa performance was very enjoyable - he seemed to really relish playing that evil character, didn't he.
