Day 5:Tango Testosterone Comparison

Realize I'm rushing the season here, but expect to need to skip a day at some point between now and Dec 24.  This is another serious (definitely a stretch:) in-depth comparison of RA with another man. Some background:  I'd never watched 'Dancing with the Stars'...no interest whatsoever...until, a couple wks ago I heard  Donny Osmond had won the contest.  Always thought Donny was a cutie so checked out the vids on youtube.  The team tango and Argentine tangos are my fav.  All his dance numbers can be found with a search on youtube for 'Donny Osmond Dancing with the Stars'.

What do you think of Donny as a dancer?  Keep in mind he's in his fifties.  He's also a happily married man with 5 children.  Is it just me or is Donny blazing hot dancing the tango?

Wouldn't it be great to see RA dancing the tango?....unbelievably there isn't one pic of him dancing as any of the characters he's played.  He did wear an appropriate shirt as Lee and Lucas has the dark, sultry, Spanish look going for him in this pic

Below is the closest thing to a dance step  on-screen for RA - it's one of Guy's smoothest moves

You are right Donny is a hottie. He just turned 52, 5 kids, two grandkids and one on the way. And have you seen the loincloth pics from when he did Joseph and the amazing techicolor dreamcoat, OMG!!! I've been 5 feet away from him when he sang This is the Moment and noone can tell me he can't sing. Been a fan since 1973, back then RA was just two. Who cares, as far a beautiful men are concerned,I say the more the merries.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!!

Yessir, I had "Puppy Love" for Donny Osmond back in the day! I don't like his personality as much though, as he is pretty full of himself.
Got to admit though, he is still smokin' hot!

hahaha, Katarina, good to know there are others who find Donny a hottie:) One of hubby's fav sayings is "just because there's some snow on the roof doesn't mean there's not a fire in the furnace":)

Loinclot pics of Donny!...Whew! where are they to be found? He's another guy who benefitted from the type of responsible parenting that produces the sexiest men on the planet. He and Richard could probably exchange tons of hilarious stories about being pursued by panting women and trade tips on their coping strategies. Most men would love to have their over-abundance-of-females challenge:)

phylly 3, why do you say Donny's full of himself? I'd only given him drooling cursory glances until Dancing with the Stars, but whenever he was with sister Marie he always seemed to be modest compared to her 'strong & sassy woman' attitude. What have I missed?...even in the rehearsal vids on the sidebar he seemed to have his ego in check compared to most celebrities. Do you think maybe it's difficult for a guy not to be a little full of himself when females have been gushing over him since he was about 12yrs old:)

Need to track down those loincloth pics mentioned by Katarina...they'll be in keeping with the season:) and will definitely be posted here if/when found.

Ricar I agrre with you. Marie is the one that I can't stand. The way she giggles and laugh off any serious questions. D on the other hand is silly when he is on Graham Norton Show, I've talked to GN when Donny was on 2003, I've never been more nervous. And if it's a serious program he is serious.
Tried to find some of the loincloth pics earlier. Will try once more. Where I I send them if I find some. You can find my email address on my blogg, just click on Katarina to get there.

Count me as another one who has always thought Donny was pretty humble.

I've seen him a few times in interviews, and he has never struck me as being arrogant -- seems to be the antithesis actually. But maybe I just haven't witnessed his arrogance.

"...responsible parenting that produces the sexiest men on the planet."

RiCrAr,

I would love to hear an explanation of what exactly you mean.

Thanks Katarina...didn't know you had a blog...sorry:) After Christmas I plan to visit everyone else's blogs--please leave the door open or the key under the mat:)

As for the loincloth pics, just leave the link or website title here in a comment and I'll grab the pic and post ASAP.

bzirk, should've added 'For me' to that sentence. always have a strong reaction whenever a male who's been raised to take their personal relationships seriously comes any where near my radar:) Their seismic sex appeal causes my bells & whistles to tingle, vibrate...it doesn't happen with other males no matter how handsome they might be. Brad Pitt--blah...even James Bond in the form of Daniel Craig...nothing (although he is a fine actor).

bZirk said...

Are you saying that character is sexy? :D

Ricrar said...

katarina, your RA virus symptoms will only get worse...that's the good news:) Have you seen most of his performances or does that delicious adventure await you in the next few mos?

Ricrar said...

Yes, for me it's unbelievably sexy...in fact, it's an absolute necessity. Maybe we've become jaded and don't expect celebrities to have morals...it's like finding a precious jewel when one comes along who seems to share a similar value system to our own.

bZirk said...

I agree! So I'm not that jaded yet although I am pretty jaded about my views of celebrities. I hope you and I are not wrong about RA. We could be, but frankly, I try not to even think about a celebrity's personal life. The less I know, the better.

I have to say I'm so glad to have found this site, you know 'Great Minds think alike' lol
Ricrar you can check out my blog if you want to, but I guess if you don't speak nor read Swedish you can still take a look at the pictures.
I've seen Dibbley, North & South Robin Hood is on BBCEntertainment here and Spooks is on another channel, however Richard is not in it.
But I look forward to more Richard in the future.
Famous people, gosh, that makes me think of Brad Paisleys song Celebrity and the video. I love his sense of humour.

Katarina,

Google is great for translation! :D Just read your latest blog.

BTW, you're in for some treats with Richard.

Note to self: a c&w fan in Sweden! Wow. :D

Re. the poll, what to get RA for Christmas. I want to give him the trip to Rome and I can carry his luggage. Isn't that the idea for that kind of present? No need to wrap me up in paper, it will be too expensive since I'm a plus size lady. I promise I will wear clothes, so that won't be a problem.

bzirk, I don't believe in getting in performers faces...annoying them by even so much as asking for an autograph, but when it comes to the caliber of human being they are in general--don't want to waste my time drooling over anyone who doesn't deserve it. If they're womanizers, druggies, nasty tempered, etc. I'd rather know up front rather than feel foolish when it finally leaks out:)

bzirk,
I've tried the translation tool, from Swedish to English and I got myself a good laugh. Because it translates word by word and sometimes when a word can be translate in two ways it's most likely to use the wrong word, lol.
Yes, I love country music, I love music period!
I'm a simple girl; I have three passions in life: Food, music and men.

bZirk said...

I know the translations can be awkward at times, but I can usually get the gist of what's being said. So it's still helpful.

As to passions, we're on the same page. I love to cook AND eat. I love music, and I love men -- as opposed to women, whom I have difficulty dealing with, much less loving, at times. :D

bzirk: "...I love men - as opposed to women, whom I have difficulty dealing with, much less loving, at times."

Are you referring to any women in particular bzirk? or just in general? Would be nice to have a pm capability here, wouldn't it;)

bZirk said...

No, I'm not referring to anyone in particular. Just thinking about my interactions with women during the course of my lifetime. I started out as a major tomboy, and I have always liked things that "boys" traditionally like, i.e., motors, tools, guns, computers, etc. I also despised contemplating ways to entice a male even though I was definitely interested. :D

Frankly, I was uncomfortable with my femininity until I began having children. Motherhood crashed over my head, and I've never been the same since. I mean that in a good way.

Anyway all of that crap above is to explain that I wasn't compatible with a lot of females and just wasn't interested in a lot of the things many other women seemed to be interested in, i.e., clothes, make-up, hair styles, etc. That stuff bored me silly and still does for the most part. Oh, I like it enough to make myself or my daughters look nice, but to sit around and talk about that crap? No.

One of the things I like about the web is that I get more chances to talk to other women who think like I do or rather I think like they do. :D
