OMG these would be just fabulous for Christmas cards!! But there's no one I could send them to except you lovely friends in fandom and I don't have your addresses (or real names) anyway! LOL Thanks for these...great timing too as it finally snowed here. Very late in the year for my part of the world!
It puzzled me why Lucas continued the affair with Sarah once he knew she'd killed Samuel Walker. Finally, it dawned on me that due to the nature of their profession spooks don't(or can't) use the same moral frame of reference as everyone else.
Apparently at that point he continued to justify the fact she killed her boss with the thought the act served a greater good. No doubt that situation often occurs for authentic spies, and the public rarely hears the details of how their lives were protected behind the scenes. Or is that the ultimate positive spin for an unusually messy business?
ricrar I think you're right. I know a guy who is from Russia and I asked him "How could he still sleep with her after knowing that she killed her boss?" He laughed and said (i'm paraphrasing here) "Like Lucas is so innocent? He's killed plenty of people in his career. Double agents who spy for more than 1 faction are more valuable because they know more. For real spy work their goods and services come down to information supply, not morals. Russia is a different planet to your capitalist paradise, and the spy world is different again."
A friend has an uncle who, in his younger years, would disappear for months at a time without explanation. The family always suspected he was a spy...wonder if they're allowed to reveal that information in their wills?
Can't help wondering what's in store for Lucas in Ep 7? Where's he running to(or from) in the above pic. Will he confront Sarah or won't that happen until the last few moments of ep 8? So many questions, so little time.
