Then there was the time he gave her a room at the castle after burning her home....oops, might not be the best example of a generous heart.

Ragtag reminded me of the following scene in RH1 when Guy offered yet another gift to Marian
and she returned it to him saying "thank you but I don't need gifts"
He replied "I will keep giving" and then related the lesson his mother taught him
Marian must've repeated her 'don't need gifts' remark, because Guy's final word on the subject was "What you need is a husband" which would've caused most women at that point to enthusiastically respond "Yes, yes, a thousand times Yes!!"
Ooooh, those searingly hot eyes - Why does Marian appear to be almost the only female on earth with any self control under that intoxicating gaze? *melt,melt*

The spirit of giving. I remember there was some conversation Guy had with her in season 1 talking about what his mum taught him about giving, and friendship. It was kinda nice. Though the house burning kinda negates it.

ragtag, check the post above for pics from the scene you described. The clip as well is probably somewhere on youtube. Marian's self control was truly unbelievable when it came to Guy's amorous advances towards her. Might be overlooking something called a 'legend' demanding she stay true to RH. It's a good thing RA wasn't truly around Lady Marian in the 11thC or we might've missed out on one of the most enduring & romantic legends of all time:)
armitage admirer, good to see the weather didn't keep you away. Hope you're voting in the polls:) Lucas' leather jacket won the last poll to close. Did you notice the shoulder embellishments on that jacket were very similar to Guy's RH1&2 leathers? No wonder it's so popular.
Yeah in reality Marian would have gone for Guy, despite his issues - a knight, not an outlaw. Then taken Robin as a lover, maybe. This was the norm, right?
