Richard Armitage in Strike Back - DVD Arrival

Our SB dvds arrived today - can't wait to see the reaction from the family's most enthusiastic movie fan - DH.  I was pleasantly surprised to see the dvd cover had been changed to a more recognizable photo of RA, rather than the heavily promoted website artwork. When you already have a handsome hunk as the hero - go with it.  Don't try to fix that which is not broken.
There are several very positive reviews of SB on the following website...

Oh, your own John Porter, yummy! I've decided to order two copies, one for my son's birthday and one for OH (me, of course!) Not sure what OH'll make of it. He thinks RA plays too prominent a role in my life as it is! But perhaps the story will grab him, while I concentrate on other details?

Would never have watched a show like Strike Back (illegal download) except for our Guy's starring role. He was breathtakingly beautiful with scarf, love him with the sunglasses and the scruffy security guard reminded me of Lucas being released from prison in E1 of Spooks 7 (sadly no sexy smile of joy). However, I doubt I will be renting or buying it for rewatchings.

To atone for sneak peeks and lost royalties, I just bought Venetia and am finally going to breakdown and purchase N&S so I can quite obsessively watching it on Netflix's instant viewing.

I am so desperate to see RA in another historical romance that I am writing a screenplay myself based on John Plantagent, Duke of Lancaster and Katherine de Roet's affair and subsequent marriage. Even though I took college classes, belonged to a screenwriting group and love to read screenplays it is still wicked hard (for me anyhow) to actually write it. Why can't I channel Jane Austen when I really need her?

I will be back begging for suggestions on how to get it to RA once I have finished it! It isn't Richard III but Lancaster was Richard II's uncle!

@ judithj1: Richard really inpsires his fans, doesn't he? Good luck with your project. I'm sure you write a lot better that Chris Ryan!

Yes, Judith, best wishes w/your interesting writing project. That entire historical period is fascinating. Is most of your research online or in libraries?

Do you use Wikipedia for historic details? I'm curious about reactions to that website - seems as though input from the general public could be skewed one way or the other depending on one's historical point of view.

As an example, the US Civil War - naturally opinions from the South often differ as far as motivation and what triggered the conflict.

I've got a copy now too! I picked it up in the UK this summer. Had to download a different viewer to watch it though. Do you have a regionless DVD player for your TV?
