After the absolute deluge of publicity, articles, interviews and reviews, then seeing the series itself, I just can't believe it's over for John Porter for now. I want him back already!
And I'm glad all these talented vid makers are busy making fantastic contributions with him as their focus! They all seem to choose music which fits their subject so perfectly. So many lovely shots of Porter in this one. I'll be watching it many times to get my Porter fix!
Enrich...why, in your opinion, did Sky decide to air 2 eps each wk? Were they attmpting to keep the story arc intact for viewers, or perhaps marketers were convinced the double bill would capture a larger audience share from competitors?? IMO, training viewers to tune in for one hour 6wks in a row might've created an even stronger demand for Series 2?
I have wondered the same and even a few of the reviewers have been left guessing. Surely if Sky had let us have 6 weeks of Porter, we'd have been even more hooked. Richard and the producer Andy Harries(?) have both hinted at the possibilty of a second series. A pity Collinson won't be a part of that, but I understand that Andrew Lincoln has landed a part in an American series, so kudos to him.
I think Richard did any amazing job with this character and as the series must appeal to a wider audience it must mean more work and a wider choice of role in the future. So important in his line of work!
Keep my Porter coming! (I'm being naughty again, aren't I?)
