Will he be the next James Bond?
Here's a major show biz headline we need to follow. The home studio for 'James Bond' is in flux and FOX(sister network is SKY in the UK) is one of the contenders for the franchise. If FOX wins the contract over SONY, will RA become the next 007? Seems to be a possibility, especially when considering the fact that one of the highest execs at SKY(female) said last night, at the BAFTA screening of SB, that RA is stunningly good looking and SHOULD be the next James Bond. Be still my heart - will WISE & lovable Rupert make a dream come true? Here's the story...(found out while reading it that Bond producer Broccoli is a woman - major surprise!) UPDATE: Upon reading the comments to the article discovered it's 'the Broccolis', a couple....and one of my fav veggies;)

It's the same site that you have in your link but she is the founder and editor in chief.
Just discovered your blog-very nice!!
OK, Judith - didn't notice the link above was her site. Just clicked on the link again & saw her name;)
Now I'll check your comment. Do you agree Richard would make a wonderful James Bond? What would that character diary look like..."my little black book is growing larger by the day" signed JimmyB/007 yrs old:)
ok...don't like James Bond but am shallow enough to go to James Bond movie if RA is James Bond or any other character in the movie for that matter!
Go John Porter & Lucas North!
Hi tyme45, Richard would breath new life into James Bond. Daniel is a fine actor--really enjoyed him in 'Defiance' but his personality seems awfully bland for 007. RA would reinvigorate the character with oodles of humor & charm.
If Sony acquires the franchise, it probably would not be nearly as likely to happen for Richard. If it's in his future, he'd certainly have the financial freedom to be very selective with his other vehicles between Bond movies.
Is it a good or bad omen that the studio being forced to release the Bond franchise has had 'Leo the Lion' as their mascot for decades?
oops...make that tyme_4_t ;)
@ricrar - LMAO - tyme45...I am only turning 40 next week!
Thanks for the correction-tyme4t works fine! btw, not that it really matters, the 4t does not refer to my upcoming age
t=my name Tracey or tea - tmi sorry
still skeptical on JB...but the chance to see RA on the big screen - sign me up!
I think Richard would create a more modern day Bond. Perhaps an updated Roger Moore, a suave, sense of humour with a twist of remorse. He was married and widowed remember?
A blonde Bond doesn't really hack it for me I'm afraid. I enjoyed Daniel Craig in the last Bond movie and it's come on in leaps and bounds from the earlier Bond movies which are let's face it really corny.
Personally though I think Richard is much too good an actor to get pigeon holed in such a way. It would be nice to get him on the wide-screen though, so I vote yes, with the proviso that we get a little more John Porter and a little less James Bond added to the mix.
Ladies, the primary point of RA as Bond would be his personal financial stability. He'd have the freedom and professional status to venture into any other venue in the intervening periods between 007 films. They're produced possibly every 3yrs? - That gives him plenty of time for whatever creative outlet he wishes - more narrations, plays, period movies...anything his heart desires. And, best of all, we'd have many opportunities to enjoy what our hearts desire;)
