Richard's gracious and deliciously revealing comments from the above website, including the reason he wishes to return to the stage:
Richard Armitage is interviewed in The Times's 'Body and Soul' section, 27th April. He talks about how he keeps fit and healthy. He says, "If I wasn't doing this job, looks wouldn't matter to me. But acting makes me more conscious of aging. I didn't like the way I looked when I was younger. I wanted to have a nose job. But now I think I have grown into my face."
He continues, "Confidence is manufactured. It comes with experience, I wasn't confident at all when I was younger. The first time I went to drama school and got through a full reading of a Shakespeare play, I gained a lot of confidence. I lost control of myself and became the character. Acting on screen doesn't give you the same chance to do that, as there are so many takes."

Richard as himself and especially when he reveals snippets about his life is absolutely irresistable! Love the blue t-shirt, the stubble and the mesmerising eyes! He seems to grow better-looking by the day! (Not ususally a fan of exclamation marks, but can't do without them on this topic!)
Why do some comments sometimes fail to show?
Enrich 2, all comments show but evidently the software for some inscrutable reason(gremlins:) doesn't show it immediately. All comments are always visible for me and eventually for everyone. Maybe if you refresh the page it will appear for you. One of those mysteries of cyberspace;)
Yes, I agree, exclamation points are necessary when referring to RA, especially when he makes such personal statements as "didn't like the way I looked when I was young...but now I think I've grown into my face." Oh boy, what an understatement - has he ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!;) Check the latest photos above.
Sky seem to be going all out to promote Strike Back and pictures are appearing of Richard everywhere (well almost everywhere!)
Hi Sue, do you think those yellowish billboards(along roads/highways) do RA justice? Obviously they're trying to lure the 'shoot 'em up' half of the population...am I right? Producers knew they were already half way there, with their challenge to attract a large audience, when they chose Richard for the role. Hmmmmpf! Should we be insulted they've taken our interest for granted or instead assume a noblesse oblige attitude?;) Maybe they had us in mind by releasing the two striking photos above. Nice gifts - they're forgiven.
is it just me or does the shot with the blue t-shirt seem a bit-I dunno-off...he looks a little photoshopped or something...It almost doesn't look like him.
love the colour of blue shirt bringing out his eyes though - very nice
Maybe I've been staring too long-is that even possible???
Is it tyme4tea? 1 lump please;)
Are you referring to the mag cover or the last w/black background. Foto-flexed away all the distracting ads for both pics. I prefer the one w/black t-shirt as well. He looks somewhat underweight in the blue, doesn't he? Not bad though...are we spoiled or what?;) If Richard doesn't look his usual drop-dead gorgeous in every photo, we quibble. hahaha Happily we don't need to quibble very often.
@ricrar - yup something's off...Im sure there was a little photo enhancement (as if needed) on the black t one too but at least it looks like him!
The first pic is like his head is too big for his body...like a bobble head...hmmm another great idea...Bobble-head RA characters...
I'd like a Harry K with glasses please!
BTW - no sugar, just milk in my tea!
Yes, disliked the billboard shot on sight. It's a jaundiced, awkwardly cropped pic of RA. Even if they are trying to appeal to the male audience surely some of the screencap ones would have done as well?
The billboard shot looks heavily photoshopped (if you look at how the photo of him and Orla was created.. explains a lot) and pardon me - dead ugly. Not him, o/c but that yellow - gah!!!!!!!!!
the latest rhapsody in blue is probably touched up a bit but nicely so, doesn't look too slick or fake. I've cleaned it of all disturbing text and put it in my blog. And now excuse me while I head over there to stare at it for a while :D
Just been shopping in Tescos and was spoilt for choice faced with a shelf full of mags with featuring Richard on the front. I usually buy Radio Times but plumbed for TV & Satellite Week instead. I was totally distracted by Richard's eyes staring up at me from the bottom of my supermarket trolley. Pool luv ended up with a bag of compost slapped on his mush! Sorry Richie!
According to Twitter it looks like Richard may be doing the rounds and giving interviews soon!
Hi TTN, have you had time to play with the 3 pics below where Danni and Porter's eyes are clearly foretelling what's about to unfold? Temptation eyes indeed...
tyme4t...milk alone is really my preference as well(for both tea & coffee), and Earl Grey in particular is my fav - Bigelow.
Hubby's the daily coffee maker in our house - he custom blends different brands & decaf with regular. It's such a treat to smell that fresh- brewed 'waker upper' each morning. Afternoon or after dinner is our usual time 4 tea;)
Sue, which organization on Twitter mentioned Richard's upcoming plans to promote SB? Want to be sure I'm 'following' them.
You're not CK on Twitter, are you? In a recent tweet she offered to send her fav RA photo. Highly suspect it's THE ONE from BTS and assured her I already have it under lock and key;)
RiCrAr,
No I'm not CK on Twitter. I did join ages ago and followed Mike Ogden a bit but I'm not a real twitterer. Can't remember which organisation mentioned Richard's upcoming plans to promote SB. I think someone else posted that this is what they'd heard, so it's kind second hand. I think it's highly likely that he will be giving interviews to promote Strike Back if humanly possible, although he is still filming Spooks so maybe not.
Ricrar,
The following was on the Richardarmitageonline website run by Annette
"Strike Back interviews on Tuesday It seems that Richard will be doing some television and possibly radio interviews to publicise Strike Back on Tuesday 4th May, according to BSkyB publicist Colin Watkins."
It also links to the following page on Twitter:

Thanks, Sue. How fast would it take you to start tweeting IF Richard opened an account?;) We can dream, can't we? It's really amazing how many celebrities are actively communicating with the public on Twitter.
Charlie Sheen, the star of Two and a Half Men, was recently asked in a tweet why he changed his haircut. Apparently Charlie has his ego in check, because his tweet in reply was "because I have a receding hairline...will be 45 soon..bummer!":)
The problem is that there are so many people pretending to be celebrities on Twitter (or Facebook)that you couldn't ever be sure that it was Richard. I doubt if he would ever consider sending tweets at all! He's already had his fingers burnt by sending messages to fansites. A shame really, I bet they'd be quite funny, given his zany sense of humour, and I'd love reading them.
