Morning, Ricrar! Love the new photos, as always. Especially like the new Gregorian "power of love" video -- although! -- Venus is missing! Where are the pictures of Venus?? (I keep calling her Venus, because I keep insisting she looks a bit like me when I was 20-something....well....we all have the righ to dream, right? :) :) ).

Ha Ha.

Enjoy your Saturday. We have a local art festival this weekend. It's one of the only bene's (other than horses and the like) of living rural. It's something like one little corner of Camden Market...but it's what we've got, and I love it!

RA fans are forever young, Cleo. At least we can tell each other that:)

Here's Sparkhouse at amazonUK. If you search his name you'll find their other RA offerings. Check with me before ordering, because sometimes the results include films he did not play in.

Forever young, indeed, Ricrar. :)

I looked up Sparkhouse. The link you gave looks like it has RA, of course. What do you think of Moving On, and Frozen?

P.S. You know what U.S. TV show RA should consider? NCIS. It would certainly make his name even more in the U.S. It's been around a long time (established, etc.). It's got the military angle, and there's action, but it also has the mystery/cerebral angle, and the actors seem very grounded in the way they play the whole thing. It would be very interesting to see RA in a show like that. I wonder if he would like it.

Believe you'd enjoy Richard in Moving On. He played a real estate wheeler dealer who at one time sold drugs. His school flame finds it necessary to sell her house and John Mulligan makes a move to seal both the business deal plus his personal goals for her.

I understand RA appears very briefly in Frozen. I've never seen it.

p.s. That's Moving On's Mulligan in my icon. As you can see, he's interested every aspect of her real estate, so to speak;D

I'll get Moving On, then. I look forward to it! I won't see Frozen if RA's not really in it -- I try to avoid existential gut wrenchers as a general rule. I get enough emotionally frozen in the Arab-Israeli conflict..... :)

I keep thinking about NCIS and why it sounds like a good fit to me for RA. It doesn't have the high energy of a Law and Order (which I'm a huge fan of, by the way). It has a quieter energy, which I think would suit better RA's quiet intensity, where it's the nuances of each movement of the eyebrow or the corner of the mouth that counts. I think that nuanced, quiet depth would get lost in the white noise (high energy style) of a show like Law and Order. NCIS is in its tenth season, from what I can see. I can see RA playing well next to a Mark Harmon -- quiet intensity, cerebral, righteous approach to law and justice in a military-intrigue setting. Plus, they already have a Mossad agent stationed in the unit! I'm sure they could use an MI6 high ranking officer to lock horns with Harmon and then become his best USA-Brit buddy-in-righteous-military-crime-fighting-counter-intelligence. :) :) In fact, he could add to the counter-intelligence end of their work. I think they'd have plenty of space for RA's quiet energy. Doesn't seem like the kind of set where the actors over-act one another, but then, I'm just intuiting there....who knows.

Cleo, have you watched tv series Covert Affairs? The female lead character is CIA, she travels the world of course and often stumbles upon a TDH member of Mossad. They have a love/hate,on again off again relationship. Third series is currently being filmed.

During an interview Richard mentioned our series 'Damages' as one of his favorites. Said it was intelligently written - that gives you an idea of the type of drama he finds inviting. RA added the animated children's movie 'Up'as a "guilty pleasure."

He has good taste. No surprise :). My favorite guilty pleasures these days are "Tangled," and "How to Train Your Dragon." Very fun :) I think my daughter loved the new movie that just came out, "Brave." That was pretty awesome, too.

We had a great festival weekend here -- I got henna all the way up my arm, and I didn't even have to fly to Morocco :) Very sweet.

Looking forward to Sparkhouse and Moving on.

Oh, my goodness. LOVE the Thorin trailer fan video. That guy is awesome :).

Ricrar said...

Did you ever see anyone so excited about a movie, Cleo:D

The young man surpasses most RA fans with enthusiasm for The Hobbit, and I didn't think that was possible.

If he finds Thorin inspiring after only 2 trailers, he'll be ecstatic after the entire film. Less than 2mos to go.

Have your new dvds arrived from UK? If so, enjoy. Can't wait to hear your reactions to John Standring and John Mulligan. BTW, Richard's father's name is John and his mother is Margaret:)

That guy's enthusiasm totally kills me. It is infectious. I love how he bounces around when he talks. I used to do that when I was a kid -- until -- probably until I got tenure, actually :) :)

I love anyone who lets themselves be just totally psyched in public! We are far too staid these days. That's my motto. Way too much seriousness around.

Haven't gotten the new dvds yet. Soon! I have been enjoying my new cable. So far, we keep seeing the last hour of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which is awesome (animals getting back at the Man). And my daughter LOVES "Big Momma: Like Father, Like Son." She can't get enough. And I'm happy with the NCIS. Law and Order is too high energy for me these days. Need something a little more Zen. :)

Will let you know how I like the new dvds. I am guessing the woman's name Margaret?
