Lady Liberty Extends Warm Welcome to a Special Guest

According to the NYTimes, tomorrow(Jul 6) Americans will extend a warm welcome to a special guest.  NYCity needs to borrow the following from Washington State...
A photo taken during her last visit(50yrs old) on July 9, 1976...to help celebrate the Bicentennial
****
Empire State Bldg will wear for this occasion what she wears for July 4th - red, white & blue lights...
For this particular person, it's certain there will be absolutely no need to add a sometimes warmly extended request..:)

Is she bringing Richard as Special Ambassador?

Oooh, Musa..like the way you think:)
NYC is within a 2hr drive...hubby might be puzzled why I'd suddenly felt the urge to visit that city.hehe

Happy you enjoyed the news report judith;) Couldn't resist the corny English request joke after stumbling upon the eagle. That patriotic designer didn't bother to say please--'can catch more flies w/honey' applies;)

Amazing, isn't it. She's 84 and he's 89 and they still have the stamina for long visits. I really hope she has the time to relax and look around while she's there!

Hi Enrich, Queen Elizabeth will only be in NYC for half a day yet her schedule looks very busy.

She'll pay a visit to the UN and tour a new memorial park in honor of over 60 British subjects who lost their lives in the World Trade Center on Sept 11, 2001. Yes, her stamina is truly amazing.

It's 100deg here today - hope there's some relief tomorrow for her sake, from the oppressive heat. It's to be expected in July - our temperate zone climate consists of 8mos of comfortable temps preceded and followed by 2mos each of severe cold and sweltering heat. March-June & Sept-Dec are the best mos to visit weatherwise. For the East Coast, it's smart to avoid Jan/Feb & Jul/Aug if at all possible.
