Richard Armitage: Old Vic Theatre Ambassador for Bicentenary Year(see link) + All Things Including Berlin Station 3, Oceans 8, Narrations, The Lodge, Wolverine Podcast, Castlevania

The Crucible rehearsal at Old Vic Theatre..

A poem and North and South tribute for Valentines..
Back pain in Montreal..

Above is a clip from TNT's fascinating series 'The Alienist' - Breathtaking scenes transport viewers back in time to turn of the century NYC.  Murdahs are solved by a scientist, criminal sketch artist and the first woman to work in the New York Police Dept.  The plot includes President Theodore Roosevelt(a Republican politician) in his early career as the NY Commissioner of Police.  Recommend the series for anyone who enjoys a well-done period piece plus an edge of seat detective drama.  It does get gory which usually finds me tuning out after the first episode.  Not this time!  The writing, acting, sets and cinematography are all so well done it's even worth suffering through the gruesome murdah;) scenes.
This exciting film opened on Friday.  It's was a RL event - the main characters are portrayed by the actual men who thwarted the insane terrorist on The 15:17 to Paris.  When the men expressed their hesitation to play themselves to director Eastwood, Clint told them "you do exactly what you did that day and I'll fill in the rest."

Proving yet again that life requires different strokes for different folks--our fav actor gets it.  Female humans can enjoy Shakespeare and Lauren Blakely without feeling as though they are narrow-minded, inexperienced maidens or lust-filled tramps.  There is more than enough time in life to enjoy all forms of "literature" and especially relish when a velvet throated male is willing to provide a wide variety of choices:

Richard Armitage: New Game of Thrones Behind The Scenes + Classic Love Poems

Sample of audible.com Richard Armitage performance of Classic Love Poems:
Bright Star by John Keats read by for Classic Love Poems
Recording his Valentine's special--Classic Love Poems. The look is Francis Dolarhyde's(Hannibal) closely cropped hair and lighter color..
Highly recommend The History Channel's exciting drama 'Sons of Liberty' - the theme composed  by Hans Zimmer. Ben Barnes stars..
Evidently Ygritte was wrong about Jon Snow - he does know something about mens cologne...among other things..GoT 5 returns in April..
The following does explain one thing that's been a puzzlement - why all the other shows on HBO are pure crap (excuse the language..I save it for those times when it's most accurate) Obviously, the lion's share of their production budget is funneled into the folowing massive undertaking, which is enjoyed worldwide. GoT 5 begins April 12..
Why the Crusades? They were not purely an aggressive attack, rather they were a  defensive mechanism. Land once held by Christians had been invaded and conquered by Mohammed's followers. The former Christian territories that had already been conquered reached deep into the west, including all of Spain and part of Italy. Western Europe became concerned for it's own safety from the onslaught which triggered formation of forces culminating in The Crusades to retake Christian territories in the MidEast.
EXCERPT: "From the outset the Crusades were defensive wars and checked the advance of the Mohammedans who, for two centuries, concentrated their forces in a struggle against the Christian settlements in Syria; hence Europe is largely indebted to the Crusades for the maintenance of its independence."

Annoys me when I read one of the US's historic buildings will be destroyed; find the following equally sad.
Although, IMO private organizations should take on the cost of preserving national treasures -- not taxpayers. The latter is what happens whenever government steps into one of these situations.

Richard Armitage:Reads TS Elliot + richardarmitagenet.com Website Discovers New Photos(see below) + Hand-made Quilt Charity Auction(see link below) Phantom of the OpeRA + Narrates Cornwell's Lords of The North (see link below)

Here's another actor (British again:) who just seems to do things that are so uncelebrity-like that they make my heart melt.  Henry Cavill took time from his Superman shooting schedule to meet and greet American airmen and women at Edwards Air Force Base.  I remember seeing an interview where, when asked what he might've done with his life if not an actor, Cavill said he had planned to enter the military - same as one of his older brothers.

Isn't it obvious the photo below was used as the prototype to make the Guy of Gisborne action figure?

Russian fans have graciously made their RA calendars available - following is definitely my fav..

There is another narrator besides RA for Bernard Cornwell's Lords of The North.  That's why it's crucial to make certain you're ordering RA's version - following is the BBC's site offering his audiobook:

A lovely hand-made quilt, created by an American fan, will be placed up for  charity auction (RA's suggestion).  See further details at richardarmitagenet website:
