Next Break for The Hobbit Starts in June(see news article below) + Couple New Holiday Fanvids + HAPPY CHRISTMAS 2011 MESSAGE from THORIN aka RA (spotted only one typo:)

NEWS:  Next break for The Hobbit will start in June--Excerpt from the Irish Times:

“her boyfriend, the actor Aidan Turner..was back from shooting The Hobbit in New Zealand. He’s home for Christmas and then filming again until June..”
http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/weekend/2011/1217/1224309213774.html

Definitely a rockin' New Year with this one from bccmee -- don't get literally blown away ;)

Is it morbid or a fine way to memorialize those who lost their lives? Cruise ships are recreating Titanic's itinerary - even dinner menus - for the 100th anniversary on Apr 15, 2012..(see poll)

Message from Richard Armitage, 24th December 2011

Dear All,

So my feet are finally on UK soil, back in Blighty, nose to tail traffic and the usual Heathrow drizzle. But it's good to be home for Christmas. I think the jet lag might give me a sneaky glimpse of Santa this year as I am wide awake at 2am!

It's been one of the most memorable years I have ever experienced, the big birthday (which I tried to ignore, by sleeping through it!) and the privilege to be in NZ working on The Hobbit has make this year unforgettable. The places we have been to and the things we have seen, have surpassed all my expectations. I was very choked up as the plane left Wellington on Weds, it really has become home and to all my new friends there and my old friends here I would like to raise a glass for the festive season.

Thank you for the continuing support which you all lend as part of our community of 'friends', it really has an impact on me personally, I feel very much supported and I hope that waiting for the film isn't too frustrating. I haven't quite had the time to attend to all the signed photos that people were requesting as Christmas gifts for family and friends and I apologise for dissappointing them, I will get on the case as soon as I can.

I think next year will be like that last turn of the corner when you think you have reached the summit, only to find you are miles from the top and the climb is even steeper, but we are gearing up for an exciting ride. I even might step off the treadmill and put my dumb bells down briefly to scoff some turkey on 25th!!

Thank you all for the continued generosity on the Just Giving pages which in total comes to more than £14,000.

I would like to say Happy Christmas to everyone who drops in to catch up on the news and further across our online 'party' of friends, have a great holiday, and a cracking New Year. Just think this time next year, we'll all be crossed eyed from all the 3D movies we will have watched, and by 2013, technology will have advanced so much, we won't even have to go the the cinema, it will be transmitted directly into our imagination by a WIFI/Bluetooth microchip which we will have all had installed into our Hypothalamusesl! (Hypothalami?)

Enjoy the typos!

Peace and goodwill (and I really mean that, be willingly good, extra good, extra peaceful and extra forgiving)

RA

Following fanvids seem very appropriate after reading *willingly* good above...will you make a New Years resolution to be "extra good".*winks* You know who you are out there..is this your prayer *wide grin*

Some have more to ask forgiveness for than others *cough*

DAILY WORKOUT:  New year is almost here, as with most people, I've been pondering what would be a good resolution??...hmmm...hubby and I try to hike (actually more like a vigorous long walk) at least 3Xs per week.  BUT, after all the holiday feasting it feels as though something extra needs to be added in order to work off those holiday goodies.  Perhaps a daily workout is in order - decided to post a new one here each week until we find the perfect daily routine.
Regular workouts are just a matter of finding the right incentive.  See zumba vid in latest post.

NEWS: There's a paragraph about The Hobbit trailer plus reviews of a few other new films:

Even a safe house should have a few holiday lights...hope they're not keeping him awake;)

Christmas is only two weeks away...we'd better visit a few Christmas Markets..
Then we can visit the lovely Longwood Gardens.  What could possibly be more beautiful than their conservatory during the Holiday season - unless it's The Nutcracker's Suite..stunning marriage of the two...

Thorin's Orcrist & Uhtred's Serpent-Breath + Shop 'Til You Drop Sat

Thorin’s Orcrist:

Uhtred’s Serpentbreath:
Excerpt from Bernard Cornwell’s Sword Song: “I touched the hilt of Serpent-Breath, my sword, then touched the amulet of Thor's hammer that hung around my neck. Kill them all, I prayed to Thor, kill them all but one. It must have been cold in that long night. Ice skimmed the dips in the fields where the river had flooded, but I do not remember the cold. I remember the anticipation. I touched Serpent-Breath continually and it seemed to me that she quivered. I sometimes thought that blade sang. It was a thin, half-heard song, a keening noise, the song of the blade wanting blood; the sword song. We waited and, afterwards, when it was all over, Ralla told me I had never stopped smiling.”

Is it Richard in Your Opinion? (See poll & pix below of Hobbit cast/crew members) + Brits United Running Poll Asking Who is Sexiest Brit Alive(see link below) +Ted Hughes Given Place in Poet's Corner(listen to RA's reading of Hughes 'Song') + Two Hobbit Related Articles(see below links) + Yet Again..Waiting on Espe

UPDATE:  Much evidence was presented before the court including the fact James Nesbitt is 5'11" tall while RA is 6'2" tall - yet the man in blue shirt looks shorter than the former.  Case closed:)

Some speculation on Twitter that the following man wearing a blue shirt - talking with James Nesbitt - might be RA.  There's a second photo of the man as he walks away from the camera.  (IMO, he's not tall enough to be RA--posture isn't straight enough either)..how tall is Nesbitt?  I'm going to start a poll asking youropinion whether or not it is RA.

An unexpected time traveller guest arrives for The Tudors Christmas festivities...

Who is the sexiest Brit alive asked the britsunited blog..currently RA has 94 votes to Henry Cavill's 102..latter is a hottie as well but doesn't sizzle on screen with nearly as much heat as..

HOBBIT NEWS: Thanks for the heads up to Musa-Fabo for the following:

Thanks to Sue for informing us "The poet Ted Hughes has been given a place in Poets Corner at Westminster Abbey."  Following is her fav RA reading of one of Mr Hughes poems - it's mine as well.  Must have recommended it to RA Twitter fans at least a doz times in the past 18mos and posted it here a number of times as well..

Sheesh!  FedoraLady has found the ultimate formula for exploding...err...ahem...causing us to be almost overcome by the vapors *blush*....

How did I miss this one until today?...might've been certain ethernet vibes keeping it at bay, but now that it's discovered..can't resist - with one important caveat.  The following is the song I've sent to my RL squeeze every year on our wedding anniversary -  He and RA share the title of *Simply the Best* in my heart.
Bravo Angie! - it's another majestical match of music and man/men, which leaves me lost in alliteration heaven:)
