Spooks 9 Trailer + Pix & Other Saturation...Drowning in it...gurgle,gurgle,,,what a way to go:)

There are numerous Spooks articles & RA interviews on this final glidepath to S9.  Just returned from the following site with interesting RA quotes - will post my favorites here tomorrow.     http://www.acemarsupial.co.uk/
For tonight, the final 2-hr ep of the exciting show 'Covert Affairs' will start in less than 10min.  The lead, for a refreshing change, is a female CIA operative.   I predict at sometime within the next two hrs hubby will say, as he has for every other ep so far - "she has so many different expressions"...suspect he might have developed a crush on the actress:)  Wouldn't be surprised - she does have a warm, humorous way about her, along with being a very pretty blonde.  Hoping my understanding attitude will be returned if ever necessary - what a sainted wife he has...hehe
****
The above photo(L) accompanies a delectable RA interview in the most recent issue of 'Closer' mag.  Almost choked on my coffee after reading Richard's reply to the question.."You have famously dedicated fans - do they send you things?" He answered "I got a pair of pants recently - designed so they don't ride up your bum.  I wondered are they trying to tell me something?  Has someone caught me pulling my pants out of my bum in public?! "
ROFLMAO hahaha
Laughed uncontrollably and then had the thought.."whoever sent those pants better knock it off!!"  I'm certain most fans reading this share the sentiment...hehe  Had a tiny flash of guilt, because somehow (someone must've been tampering w/the blog's photo gallery;)  - lo & behold look what was sitting there waiting for the right moment - which has definitely arrived...
Following one isn't bad either...nothing riding up but worth watching nonetheless...in fact, sent the following last year to a friend with a lovely evergreen Christmas wreath placed...err, to best advantage;)  We manage to get him coming & going, don't we..teeheehee and then he says in the same interview that it would be too weird to date a fan...can't imagine why????? Can you?=)
One more photo from Spooks8 that begs a caption...how about "Yeah, so, I do have a humungous pile of dirty laundry on my bedroom floor...you want to make something of it??"
Isn't it wonderful that reporters have finally dropped the circus questions and added those that make for very scintillating interviews.  For instance, one was presented more like a statement - "There must be pressure to look good on screen?"  RA's reply:  Well, I see the stripping off bits in the script and I plan to get to the gym, but then they change the schedule and suddenly it's tomorrow and you're like, "Hang on I've just eaten a pizza!"  Generally before those scenes, I cut out the beer and pizza."
You be the judge ladies..does taking a pass on the extra-cheese pizza result in the best "stripping off bits" on screen?

Do you not think Covert Affairs bears a striking resemblance to Alias of a few years ago? I wanted not to like it as I thought it was ripping off the old show, but I actually enjoy it!

Welcome to the blog, Lisa
Can't say that I remember Alias. I'd turned off to all films & TV shows in general for a few yrs. Catching an ep of '24'(in it's 6th season:) and then receiving North and South as a gift flipped the switch to some extent...verrry selectively.

Isn't it interesting that the USA network has 3 of the hottest current shows? In the order of preference: Burn Notice, White Collar & Covert Affairs. They're all so well written, intricate plots compared to the other choices. Although DH has a longer list of favs than mine.

As for CA in particular - do you think perhaps the choice of actress makes it so enjoyable. She seems to have a down-to-earth personality, with a charming sense of humor. We were both disappointed when they announced it won't return until NEXT SUMMER. Only good aspect about that fact is that DH's memory of her by then will probably be gone with the wind. hahaha Not really concerned...just find it amusing he's as susceptible as me in that regard.

Oh what an understanding wife...especially because she's doing it without any personal interest ;)

OML :)

Haha OML...Saint Wifey;) or perhaps Saint Snagglepuss...that's a classic US children's cartoon & hubby's fav nickname for me. He's so romantic, isn't he..hehe. Actually he really is romantic but also a terminal tease. I tell him it's my cross to bear in life;)

As always, RA's most recent interviews are filled w/sincerely frank - therefore delicious details about the man.

The Closer one contains probably the understatement of the century. Reporter asked "what's next for you personally?" Answer: "Having a family one day. I am single at the moment, but I'm not short of a date."

They're engaging in the most personally exciting dance for anyone. Which one will be the finalist in that contest of the heart? He need not have any fears, am I right?...we'll welcome her w/open arms and hope she's as forthright in interviews as her soulmate has proven to be...giving us a few more delicious nuggets to munch on in the future;)

When he says 'I'm not short of a date' he means that he has dates, right? LOL, I still have to get used to some british expressions.

If the woman he chooses is gracious about us fans, I'm sure we'll receive her with open arms, why "fight 'em when you can join 'em".

I remember in an event, maybe People's choice awards or MTV or something...when Jennifer Aniston was still with Brad Pitt, 2 girls were in the stage, they were selected from the public for something (great memory, huh?) and so Brad and Jennifer were in the front row and one of the girls said 'OMG, Brad I love you' and then to Jennifer 'I'm sorry but I love him, he's great' and Jennifer's reaction was a sincere(at least to me) nod and a wave of the hand as 'no problem', almost it felt as if she was saying 'come on, come here to say hi'.
At least it was my impression and totally loved it, she did not laugh at the girl, since then I particularly like Jennifer Aniston.

Yes, OML, he meant whenever he's free for a date his 'little blackbook' provides one. Interesting that he came around to dating his professional peers--his remark makes it sound as though that wasn't his first choice, but celebrity status prevents him from meeting any of us garden-variety common folk. C'est la vie...his loss, isn't it;)

I agree w/your assessment of Jenifer Aniston. She was especially down-to-earth before Brad Pitt dumped her for the woman who recently did the same to him. That's the problem w/celebrity status. It's unnatural - opens up a world of temptation not nearly as available for the lowly peeps;)

Anyway, being treated so shabbily by Brad seemed to give Jenifer a protective shell...still smarting I believe from the hurt. Oh well, she has a far more stable acting career than the vast majority of her peers; and I believe the public's reaction to her valiant 'stiff upper lip' during those trying times is part of the reason why we find her worth watching.

More Lucas articles this morning, and TV and radio interviews with RA starting tomorrow. Yes, we're drowning in it,very good description RICrAr,but what a great way to go :)
More spoilers on Digital Spy, interview with Laila Rouass, another understatement, she's talking about doing love scenes for TV, and I quote: "There's no one better than Richard [Armitage] to do those scenes with."

RiCrAr! Hot off the press from WiC. Looks like they're talking Season 2 of Game of Thrones already, time to plan our strategy to have RA cast as Stannis! I think we need to start posting on the HBO sites-LOL

Hey there Musa, Just returned after reading the latest interviews. Laila's was particularly amusing, wasn't it? How could the woman say she was frightened at the prospect of doing a love scene w/RA? If he's read the remark, he probably joked about it. Perhaps that will be one of the questions during his upcoming radio/tv spots. Reporter: "Did you know your co-star said she was frightened to do a love scene with you?"...his reply would be something to the effect "she must know the real me"...or possibly "then judging from her performance in those scenes, she really is a fantastic actress." The latter is actually my reaction to her comment. Ever the gentleman, Richard would never say that or anything else negative about his peers:)

His self-deprecating remarks are getting more frequent. Maybe he needs to pay closer attention to his 'followers.' If our reactions to him don't give the man a firm sense of confidence & security - nothing ever will;)

I'll check the latest re Stannis at the websites you mentioned. Our wisest stragegy might be to soft peddle our first choice for the part. IMO, many males automatically assume a defensive attitude when a hot actor is brought to their attention by females. Emphasizing RA's keen acting ability, without mentioning his other attributes might be the most successful way to approach male readers. Have any thoughts on it? Will get in touch at those websites as well:)
