High Five musa:) & ALSO to the US & UK for Advancing at the World Cup

musa, great team work, but do you think it would be wise to now let sleeping dogs lie so he doesn't feel double-teamed;)

More high-fives for both soccer teams and to the players who scored the winning goal...Donovan might be a long lost relly...that was a Cork gggm's maiden name...

Landon Donovan born in Ontario, California and Jermain Defoe born in London, England...

I support England, of course, but well done USA, too! Fantastic to see them doing well.

Hi Enrich,
Wonder who each team will play next? They'll be exciting games.

I've just posted a long list of comments by those who voted(at the winter is coming website) for RA to play Bronn in A Game of Thrones. Judging from the comments, I'd say we've probably already rubbed cyberspace elbows with quite a few of them;)

Musa, I tried to reply to you at GRRM's site yesterday but received a message saying replies were no longer being accepted for that one--He'd already posted a new entry.

He doesn't make any replies in the comment box, does he--but, apparently he read our posts because his very next entry commented on the actor who has already narrated AGOT books. Seems like too much coincidence for him not to have been reminded upon reading the description of RA's excellent narration of LOTN. The clues tell all;)

Initial negotiations take forever, so we won't know for many months if our dream does come true. Perhaps not even until another Game of Thrones series is approved by HBO? We can watch & wait knowing we fought the good fight!:)

In which book of the series does the Viper character appear? I've checked websites to no avail, after seeing Richard suggested for that role as well.

The Viper doesn't appear until book #3. He's a prince I believe from one of the main houses, but a pretty nasty character, and a small role. Probably on the various websites he's listed by his full name - and I can't remember it right now :(

Musa, another reason I believe GRRM read our posts is because he mentioned in his next journal entry that it might be wise for them to start casting 'more obscure' actors(for him--not us:) in order that those guessing new cast members can't quite so easily identify them. Just a joke but what brought it to mind;)

Ironically, other than Sean Bean, I've never heard of any of them--ignoring movies for a decade will do that to you. There was nothing worth my time until a certain sinewy man with a rathskellar level voice popped unto the screen (after a trip across the Atlantic and into a holiday gift box).

Apparently grrm committed to the gray-bearded actor as the series narrator yrs ago. Can't believe I'm paying any attention to a 'fantasy' series, although the historical reality background does give it a more grounded foundation. Besides, George's writing has a mesmerizing flow. At times he's poetic, then seconds later he sounds like a late night comedian - weaving a vivid tapestry of words.

I'm not a big fantasy fan either. I started reading the books because Sean Bean was cast for GOT. But the characters and atmosphere of the books, and GRRM's sense of humor has kept me reading on. I agree about the historical background.I do recognize some of the older actors from all my years of watching US Public Television.(First saw RA thanks to PBS). I also enjoy all the blogs and websites, amazed at the interest and devotion to this book series. I'm new at lurking in all the RA blogs and sites, and I'm so glad I found yours :) Now we'll just have to wait and see if RA is cast (YES!).Look out for those GRRM clues :)

Which do you consider the most interesting of the grrm book series websites? I've already registered at Tower of the Hand? believe that's the name. It's amazing how detailed it is. Every chapter for each book is outlined, plus maps and lists of characters. There are so many different websites, I'm not sure where to register next:) Have you found one more fun than the others?

BTW, I'm RAddichio at the Tower website--I've not yet posted there--must first get further into the book.

I've been lurking in all, rather than posting. They all know the books so well, pretty intimidating. I always check out Westeros first and Winter Is Coming of course. Tower of the Hand is amazing! I don't think I could have gotten through the books without them. Wonder if we'll get an casting news today...think RA!

Musa, perhaps GRRM will write a new character into his upcoming books for Richard. Has he planned 2 or 3 more for the series? Bronn does look like a good fit according to the tall, dark, handsome descriptions I've read - then add the nasty dimension Richard enjoys and you couldhave perfection.

Channeling RA into Geo's thoughts;) Wouldn't you love to take the writer to Lucas North's barber? hehe...trim his scraggly beard to stubble..a shorter haircut(remove that strange shaped hat--although it might be hiding partial baldness) The changes could remove at least 15yrs from his appearance. Although, perhaps his genius hides within those messy locks:)

Take a look at the interesting photo above found on Twitter - they're signs posted around Belfast directing insiders to the GOT set.
