Dedicated to All RA's Madam Librarians - Marian the Librarian by nunduforyou

Aware that it seems at least half the original RA fanbase is composed of world-wide librarians, the following new vid is appropriate.  Perhaps the phenomenon is due to all those North & South copies in the Period Drama sections of untold local libraries.

Welcome Eliza, the world needs archivists as well.

Once it dawned on me that half the RA supporters I'd met over the past 18mos are librarians, the reason started to become clear. There he was on the N&S cover, gazing at her each time she passed by until finally the archivist/librarian swooped him up and took him home. She really had no idea what that decision was about to unleash, did she.

In my case, my older sister noticed the N&S cover in a dvd store - bought it and mentioned she (& her husband)had watched at least 10Xs in one month. Ha! (my bro in law is not the type to watch more than once;) Then my Christmas gift from her arrived - the fever spread. RA really went viral in the family last Christmas, when I gave it to my younger sister.

Thank you so much for the librarian/archivist contingent out here! Didn't realize there were that many of us!

(We'd probably get more respect, if we all looked like Lucy! :) )

fitzg, it took a few mos for me to recognize the strong presence of librarians at RA websites. Gradually it dawned on me that every other person I'd come in contact with had made the revelation it was their profession. Being as curious as a cat, couldn't shake the question Why so many librarians? from my mind, until the day I envisioned the N&S dvd cover w/John Thornton's photo sitting in the 'period drama' section of local libraries. Of course, The Impressionists dvd set is also there, but somehow - although Richard gave a moving Monet performance - his wispy goatee isn't nearly as captivating as a top hat & cravat;)

@Eliza, some of my best friends are archivists, too! (giggle)

RiCrAr, probably no mystery about so many librarians/archivists: everyone knows we're such a staid, old-fashioned lot, addicted to costume drama and classical lit!

(Exiting left, giggling, before someone throws the book at me...)

I love to go out at night, dance, I'm not old fashioned ... but it's true ... I have an addiction to period drama.Lololol
When I was 16 I had a crush: Colin Firth and at 28: Richard Armitage!!

@Eliza, none of us is a stereotype! How many of us go "ssshhh" any more? :)

Not this one, anyway.
