Green Screen TV

Did the Spooks crew really visit Moscow? - how much of SB was actually filmed in Africa?....Same type of question can be asked about all TV drama after watching the following...

Certainly looked like the real thing...and no doubt it was.  In fact, RA looks in this pic as though he might've been enjoying a few vodka martinis during shooting, haha---nah, he's obviously a happy man - no need for artificial stimulation during the workday.

A bit of the English "lad" there? Probably just a moment in time, caught by a passing photog...

judith, RA's surname 'Armitage' is an interesting one. Most genealogical sources mention it as originally referring to a 'hermitage'. Is his aversion to the public spotlight the result of those threads of DNA? haha...never suspect genealogy rocks my boat, would you?;)

Many Armitage immigrants to the US in the 1800s were Methodist ministers.

My father's family had the traditional appreciation for a few pints of 'ye olde Budweiser' down at the pub. Maternal rellies were very religious(Co Mayo in particular) & looked down their noses at imbibing anywhere other than family weddings...and funerals;) hahaha

It certainly rocks mine, too! Been at it for a few years. History and roots! My Irish lot are Mayo, too.

That is interesting - Armitage/Hermitage. Coincidence? or "a clue, no?.

Now raise a pint of - Guinness? - to Tim Finnegan!

when you look at the Porter pictures, surely ARMitage fits much better than HERMitage :D

Trust you to make us laugh, Tee.

I had wondered if Armitage had something to do with arms, of another type. Armour? Arms manufacturer? But Hermit/hermitage seems more likely.
