I'm not usually a fan of action-packed, adrenalin-fuelled, aggressive war dramas with sweaty men packing the latest in weaponry kicking in doors, rescuing damsels in distress etc, so why am I thrilled at the prospect of John Porter in military uniform doing all the above and hoping against hope the series is shown on Norwegian tv in the not-too-distant future?

"sweaty men kicking in doors" usually causes panic BUT not this time;) Instead the thought of one particular man w/biceps bulging and steely-eyed glares sets the heart thumping for far more enjoyable reasons, right Enrich2?
Why wait for Norwegian TV when you can order the DVD today at amazonUK with delivery around the middle of June? There are very reasonably priced all-region players at the amazonUS website; OR you could download the VLC player for free and watch SB on your computer.

I can be a bit slow at times. Of course ordering the dvd is the solution to seeing John Porter a lot earlier. I actually have two lads and a husband at home who'll probably enjoy the subject matter. Hubby will just have to deal with my swooning while watching "Mr Thornton" doing his alpha male stuff!

Here's another snippet about how Richard bulked up for his role in Strike Back.

Here's the link:

It's on the Richard Armitage online website

Thanks for the tip, Sue:) See the latest post.
Don't we feel sympathy(HA!)for RA's need to constantly scarf down sandwiches while filming action scenes. Must be difficult to break the habit once it's a wrap - although at 6'2" with a professionally mandated regular work-out routine, a few extra snacks probably quickly melt away. In fact, did you find he seemed somewhat underweight in a few of the recent SB pics?...maybe the grueling physical action did manage to take a toll on his ideal weight by the end of filming.
Off to check if Sky1 has finally published it's SB page.
