Last ep of the series Camelot aired in US on Fri.  We're hoping there will be a second season, but it seems a bit later than usual for the network to make the greenlight announcment.
The following review reminds me a great deal of a few Spooks reviews in the past.  The writer skewers, ridicules, calls the thought of Camelot laughable (he's totally wrong but British, therefore has the right to say it;) and then in the next to last paragraph declares the show is wonderful entertainment and he'll definitely be watching:)  Doesn't the nasty cynicism of many reviewers often leave you with a bad impression of the profession in general?  They seem to think their job is to be as pretentious as possible - posture themselves as brilliant oracles who honor us and the world with the opportunity to read their wisdom. *it drips with such snarkiness that it's at least worth a few chuckles*

Never saw this shot from this particular photo session..IMO, it's the best one - the others make RA's head look somewhat top heavy

Very first one above and the one below are other angles I'd never seen from two different photo shoots - IMO they're the best of both lots :)

We have Richardbabe to thank for the excellent manip below.  She certainly fooled me:)

Have Mercy on Me: Sir Guy of Gisborne (Richard Armitage fanvid) from angie long on Vimeo.

O.K. now the world is reallllly getting unbelievably small...although must admit this one is in a rather nice way.  See the drapes behind Sir Guy in the Some Like it Hot video?  Well, at least a year ago, I bought new drapes for our living and dining rooms.  Life became very busy and the drapes got shoved back in a corner of the basement until last evening.  I finally pulled them out  with intentions to hang, but kept asking myself..."why the heck do they look so familiar?"  The reason is because they're the exact same pattern as in Sir Guy's below. *unblievable* The burgundy color goes beautifully with our rugs.  Will never look at them again without thinking of the prince of black leather. One of the sweet serendipities in life:)

Recap: Season 1 Episode 1 - King Henry VIII, the young ambitious monarch of England, prepares for war with France but is dissuaded by the diplomatic manipulation of his powerful Lord Chancellor, Cardinal Wolsey, who proposes that the King sponsor a "Treaty of Universal Peace."
The harmony of the King's domestic affairs is threatened, however, when he discovers that Elizabeth Blount, the young and beautiful lady-in-waiting to his Queen, Katherine of Aragon, is pregnant with his child.

Does Steven Wadington, the actor playing Edw Stafford, look familiar to you?  He played the king in RH II.
Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham (Steven Waddington) Henry VIII was both jealous and suspicious of Edward due to his wealth, land, and royal blood. He had deep connections with the nobles who were unhappy with the growing influence of "low-born" men, in particular Cardinal Wolsey. Edward was accused of listening to prophecies about the King's death and tried for treason. The charges were most likely false, but let's face it, Henry had already decided what the outcome would be...

Religion -Hugh Bourne, founder of Primitive Methodism
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire  - Primitive Methodism was founded by Hugh Bourne, a native of Stoke-on-Trent, at a public gathering in the nearby village of Mow Cop. He originally followed the Wesleyan form of Methodism but in 1801 he reformed the Methodist service by conducting it outside. By 1811 with his brother he founded the first chapel in Tunstall. He promoted Sunday schools as a method of improving children's education as well as treating women as equals. He also was involved in the temperance movement. It was from the Primitive Methodists that many early trade unions found their early leaders.]

[family History: Those of my ancestors who were coal miners (they were also Primitive Methodists--helped build first PM church in their newly adopted community),  would be horrified to learn my opinion of unionization in C21.  Don't believe in it - it provides mediocre results from everything it touches.  Yes, it was necessary in C19 and even up until mid C20.  But that is no longer true.

Between the Prim Meth directive to treat women as equals and the fact the other branches of my family tree emigrated from Ireland (where from the beginning of recorded history female monarchs were common) I now understand my earliest strong conviction that women can do anything they desire in this world, once they set their minds to it.]

The English coal miners were identified as having lived, if Prim Meth church records are to be believed, in Selston, Nottinghamshire as early as 1720.  IMO, prior to that they had emigrated from either Cornwall or Wales seeking employment in the numerous northern England coal collieries.     http://www.nottsheritagegateway.org.uk/themes/coal.htm

Most ogle worthy in The Tudors: Henry Cavill as Chas Brandon
Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk (Henry Cavill) Though seven years older than Henry, Charles shared many characteristics - natural athleticism, robust physical health, and a devotion to all sports. During their adolescent years, the boys laid the foundation for a lifelong friendship. Brandon may have been the only person in all England who never fell out of his favor in more than 40 turbulent years.

Did Sir Guy decorate Locksley Manor in a modernistic or traditional style?  Did he choose furniture with duel usage?  Perhaps a nightstand that doubled as his leather glove storage compartment..

My result is 30% kinky - believe me..anything higher than that and hahahaha - well, we need to talk ;)  the test gets quite kinky e.g. do you enjoy pain at times? huh? that's masochism - no thanks.  Sheesh!  how boring must life be for some people when they consider physical pain as foreplay?  They definitely need to talk to someone who can give them far better suggestions - resulting in the direct opposite of pain....*laughing and shaking head in disbelief*

When I tell my love that I've already made plans for the two of us for Valentine's Day 2012, he'll probably ask if I'm feeling alright:)  You see, Channing Tatum's new movie 'The Vow' is opening on that day.  It's a true story that will have other hopeless romantics in tears as well.  If the trailer finds you with a catch in your throat, you can count yourself among those of us who really enjoy a wonderful love story.  Channing seems to look for not only movies "all about love" but also with substance.  Not just a mushy, corny, light-hearted relationship but one with depth.  This time his wife suffers amnesia after they were in a car accident.
She thinks he's her MD, and he says "I have to make my wife fall in love with me all over again."  How can a movie with that storyline not be a winner?
