Yesterday's olympic figure skating finals was a nailbiter...the Russian & US finalists scores were extremely close; but fortunately for Evan Lysacek of the USA the stars & his knees were perfectly aligned for a gold medal.
Evan started hockey lessons about 8yrs old - when his mother noticed his skating ability, she suggested he should try figure skating. Evan wasn't enthusiastic at first until he asked her if he could wear a skating outfit similar to his favorite action figure w/a large lightning bolt down the front. His mom replied "certainly" and proceeded to sew the costume herself. Mrs Lysacek was sitting in the audience yesterday, with a big bright smile on her face, as her son skated into olympic history. Unfortunately that entire performance is not as yet available, but here's Evan's ballet on ice at the World Championships last year...

Never heard of Evan before his appearance for the Vancouver Olympics, but evidently he was very well known elsewhere. Is it just me, or does Evan look better w/a few curls on his forehead rather than the severe slicked back look he often wears in competition.

Comparison Study...
Someone had to do it:) There are some similarities...e.g. masculine body language...
Both wear that ubiquitous murky-colored shirt...
oooh, apparently no waxman cometh for Josh...
and obviously both are comfortable enough in their male skin to not be concerned about wearing an ornament around their neck...
Both men cut a meannnn manly figure in a t-shirt...
and often stuff their hands in their jeans pockets(glance upwards for RA's pic:)...
There is an area where the two men show a strong divergence in their attitude. Apparently Josh is happy to appear with his significant other for fans to snap their photograph together---following pic found on a prominent website(along with several others of the couple) is entitled 'Bio - Josh and Jennifer.'
There are other similarities but blogger's software is acting very erratic today, so they'll have to wait for a future time.

Have worn shirts w/patterns that rattle your eyes..altho' Josh is definitely the greater offender in this category...whew! some of his plaids are horrendous:)
RA's shirt above usually looks like a test pattern, but blogger software managed to render it downright conservative. They look great in white...
And have worn at least one funky-styled jacket..
Natural hair color - RA's looks almost the same shade as Josh's...
Another similarity - both very talented men are chick magnets as well. Women of discriminating taste, of course:), are drawn to them like moths to the flame...
Experts at seducing the camera..we're being hypnotized..what a way to
go....oh yeah, how sweet it is...
