Richard Armitage is a brilliant actor who has brought depth and sensitivity to every role he's played. We'll talk soon about his transformation from the hot man you see above to the role of timid, quiet, even downright bedraggled John Standring of Sparkhouse.     Yes, let's talk about John Standring! I loved that role! He was so sweet! But that fight scene was pretty vicious! Yikes! I couldn't stand how long she watched them fight before she intervened. It's like she couldn't decide who she wanted to win. I was like..."Don't let him hit my John -- you idiot!"

    Wasn't John sweet to give Lisa the bouquet of flowers on his & Carole's wedding day? He was really too fine a man for the latter. Anyone who could hang a dog and teach their daughter to steal definitely has serious emotional hangups. Of course, Carole's abominable father was completely to blame for her psychological problems. She was so lucky to have the love of a good man such as John.
